Job Description

The Role

Purpose:



The purpose of a Workshop Controller in logistics is to oversee and coordinate the operations of a workshop or maintenance facility, ensuring that all vehicles, equipment, and machinery critical to the logistics operations are maintained and serviced effectively.


Duties:



Coordination and Scheduling:




Notify operations of vehicle service needs. Verify vehicle mileage (KM) and schedule maintenance accordingly. Create and update job cards for vehicle maintenance.

Stakeholder Management:




Oversee coordination and scheduling of major repairs (e.g., gearboxes, warranties).

Reporting :




Provide daily progress reports regarding breakdown repairs, completed services, and overtime hours on repairs


Skills and Experience

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:



Grade 12 MS Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook) 1 - 2 years' experience as an Administrator or similar role Advanced knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures Understanding of logistics operations and maintenance schedules

Advanced Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and scheduling Strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage priorities effectively Problem-solving and proactive issue management Attention to detail and quality control Ability to work under pressure and manage stress Strong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement Time management and efficiency
