The purpose of a Workshop Controller in logistics is to oversee and coordinate the operations of a workshop or maintenance facility, ensuring that all vehicles, equipment, and machinery critical to the logistics operations are maintained and serviced effectively.
Duties:
Coordination and Scheduling:
Notify operations of vehicle service needs.
Verify vehicle mileage (KM) and schedule maintenance accordingly.
Create and update job cards for vehicle maintenance.
Stakeholder Management:
Oversee coordination and scheduling of major repairs (e.g., gearboxes, warranties).
Reporting :
Provide daily progress reports regarding breakdown repairs, completed services, and overtime hours on repairs
Skills and Experience
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12
MS Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
1 - 2 years' experience as an Administrator or similar role
Advanced knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures
Understanding of logistics operations and maintenance schedules
Other
Advanced Excel skills for tracking, reporting, and scheduling
