Qualified and trade tested as a Red Seal Boilermaker is essential

Proficiency in computer software (e.g., MS Office, workshop management software)
Proven experience as a workshop supervisor, manager, or in a similar role (minimum 5 years experience).
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Good knowledge of workshop equipment (lasers, press brakes, flame cutting machines, etc)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of workshop work staff to achieve high standards of performance, quality and safety.
Operational Management: Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner. Plan and schedule workflows to optimise resources and productivity.
Quality Control: Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer requirements. Perform regular checks and inspections on completed projects.
Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety procedures.
Customer Communication: Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are met. Provide updates on project status and resolve any issues or concerns.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with the team to implement changes that enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
