SUMMARY:
Looking for your experience as a Workshop Manager in the Material Handling/Heavy Machinery industryPOSITION INFO:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical
• Previous proven working experience as a Workshop Manager in the Material Handling/Heavy Machinery or similar industry
• Exposure to LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Previous experience in profit and loss (P&L) responsibility or financial performance management

• Drive workshop profitability and financial performance by managing operational costs, increasing labor recovery rates and optimizing resource utilization
• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve workshop efficiency and revenue generation while ensuring alignment with overall company objectives
• Ensure service excellence and operational effectiveness by streamlining workflow processes, reducing turnaround time and enhancing workshop productivity
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performance team by fostering accountability, continuous improvement and adherence to performance targets
• Enhance customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring timely communication, quality service delivery and proactive problem resolution
• Monitor and manage key financial metrics, including revenue, gross profit, expenses and overall budget control
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and compliance regulations (OHSACT and environmental legislation) to create a safe and efficient working environment
• Optimize inventory and procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve availability of critical parts and components
• Work closely with Sales and Parts departments to develop and support after-sales service strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Identify and implement operational improvements through innovation, lean practices and continuous process optimization
