Job Description
Are you a qualified Turner with minimum 5 years experience repairing water pumps?Our client in Cape Town Northern Suburbs, has a small repairs workshop and requires a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to liaise with clients, manage the repairs schedule and delegate tasks to assistants.Strong people- and time management skills are required.REQUIREMENTS
- Matric, Fitter & Turner qualification with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience
- Valid driver's license
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Assign tasks to junior staff
- In charge of all water pump assessments, repairs and machining of parts
- Communicate clearly to customers about the progress of repairs and keep them updated
- Receive orders from suppliers
- Testing of pumps
- Managing job cards
- Ensure outgoing orders are packed correctly
- Assist with deliveries and collections of pumps if required by the client
- Assist with on-site pump installations/maintenance when necessary
- Be willing to work overtime on an as-and-when basis
- Keep the workshop clean and tidy
- Ensure the best work flow methods
