We're looking for a talented VR/XR Technical Content Writer to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for creating immersive training content, enjoy working with cutting-edge technology, and are excited about shaping the future of industrial equipment training, this role is for you!Your primary task will be to create engaging and effective content for VR and XR training programs focused on industrial equipment operation. This role combines technical knowledge, ability to translate technical concepts into concise and accurate wording for scripts and voice overs, and customer interaction to produce impactful training experiences.Required Qualifications:

• Degree, diploma, or demonstrated experience in Technical Writing, Engineering (Mechanical, Mining, or Industrial), Instructional Design, or related field.
• Strong writing skills with a focus on technical and instructional content.
• Understanding of mechanical systems, particularly related to industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of industrial environments and health and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
• Ability to distil complex technical information into clear, concise language.
• Attention to detail, especially for safety-critical information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the heavy industry or with heavy machinery.
• Background in creating training materials or e-learning content.
• Familiarity with VR/XR technologies and their applications in training.
• Script writing experience for audio/visual media.
• Understanding of adult learning principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyse technical documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals for industrial equipment, unit standard specifications, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS), and existing training materials.
• Write clear, concise, and accurate scripts for voice-overs to be used in VR/XR training experiences.
• Collaborate with VR/XR developers to ensure content aligns with the virtual environment and user interactions.
• Interact with customers to understand their specific needs and incorporate feedback into the content development process.
• Ensure all training content adheres to health and safety standards and accurately reflects the complexities of operating in an industrial environment.
• Continuously update knowledge of industrial equipment, processes, and safety procedures to maintain content relevance and accuracy.
