UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This position will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials per the production plan and supporting the production process to fulfil KPI targets.
This position is earmarked to Unemployed Youth on on a 12 month contract basis. The person applying must comply with the criteria and be registered on the Yes4Youth platform.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible to keep the environment safe and adhere to all Safety Policies
Responsible for follow-up with suppliers for on-time delivery of truck materials
including packing platforms
Monitor the performance of suppliers including packing platforms in terms of delivery
Responsible for calling off materials based on MRP calculations
Ensure that the management and good visualization of the local warehouse
Maintain and monitor reports as per requirements
Co-ordinate and support warehouse to set up Safety stocks and re-order levels
Responsible for follow-up with suppliers for on-time delivery of truck materials
including packing platforms
Co-ordinate and support warehouse to set up Safety stocks and re-order levels
Support the MC with attending supplier visits
Creation of POs on SAP Ariba
Suggest and implement improvements to the current process
Support in Inventory Analysis & stock take activities
Minimum qualifications and experience
Diploma or Degree in Engineering
Supply Chain Management (Advantage)
0-2 years Relevant experience as a material controller
Job Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of Material control processes
Knowledge of Inventory Control
Knowledge of MRP / ERP processes
Hands-on experience working in ERP (SAP, Oracle material Masters)
Knowledge of Supply Chain & Material management
IT Knowledge: use of MS office (Excel, MS-word, PP). Operational knowledge on SAP, SysPro
