UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This position will be responsible for control of production to meet the Planned requirements. Ensure that the production plan is adhered to and monitor the progress on the line for any possible mitigations.
This position is earmarked to Unemployed Youth on on a 12 month contract basis. The person applying must comply with the criteria and be registered on the Yes4Youth platform
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for ensuring adherence to the production plan.
Report the production status daily in the QRQC meeting.
Monitor daily and monthly sign-off targets ensuring all production goals are met.
Monitor all station's downtime and issues and report out.
Responsible for coordinating meetings between production, logistics, sales, engineering, quality etc for all production planning and control issues.
Maintain CCR system and ensure that it's working properly.
Responsible for creating a recovery plan whenever there is backlog in production.
Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met
Make performance reports and distribute them to the necessary departments daily and weekly.
Check and ensure runtime hours are correct for each station.
Monitor delayed and trial vehicles to make sure they are processed properly.
Work with IT team on any issues with systems or processes.
Coordinate with different departments on any request related to production, Inventory shortages, and Quality issues.
Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
Adherence to all Safety Policies within the Organization
Responsible for creating and maintaining all systems related to production planning for trucks e.g: co-pilot, CPO e.t.c
Minimum qualifications and experience
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Mechatronics Engineering
0-2 years of relevant experience in the Automotive industry.

Good knowledge of Automobile products
Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Good cross-functional coordinating skills
Good knowledge of overall production processes and logistics flow
Knowledge of Supply Chain & Material management
Knowledge of MRP / ERP processes
IT Knowlege: use of MS office (Excel, MS-word, PP)
Operational knowledge on SAP/Syspro.
