Must have Grade 12 and a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field
Proven experience in revenue management or yield management at a multi-property level in the hospitality or safari industry
Proficiency in revenue management software and data analytics tools including but not limited to Power BI and Excel
Understanding of B2B business model within the travel industry, as well as B2C and ResRequest inventory system(advantage)
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
A deep understanding of the safari industry and its unique challenges
Contribute to defining pricing strategies in collaboration with key commercial managers to maximize occupancy and drive bed night sales
Ownership and operational execution of our in-house Dynamic Discount system to optimize its usability and effectiveness based on demand, seasonality, and other factors
Use data analysis tools to identify the performance of key metrics including RevPAR, daily available rooms, sharing regular reports with the commercial team
Analysis of occupancy trends and focus areas to ensure action-based solutions and a proactive approach
Analyze the performance of existing and potential new distribution channels to identify areas of opportunity
Use data analytics to forecast future occupancies, optimize special offers and prices optimized to sales-travel lead time
Clear communication with sales and marketing teams to ensure understanding, alignment, and smooth execution of pricing strategies
Collaboration with the Tech development team to make pricing and occupancies as visible as possible, as well as special offer tracking
Ensuring results are trackable and creating reports to identify which initiatives have worked and which need further adjustment
Provide insights and recommendations for revenue and yield improvement
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure optimal room availability and distribution.
Monitor room reservations, provisional bookings (and associated terms), and cancellations to maintain accurate inventory levels
Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and make data-driven decisions
Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Working 9 hours per day with a one-hour lunch break from Monday - Friday in the Cape Town office. The working hours are 08h00 to 17h00 with some flexibility You will be required to travel for work from time to time
