Job Description

Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities for youth ages 3-17, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs- Supervise and monitor youth activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants- Build positive relationships with youth and their families, providing emotional support and guidance as needed- Collaborate with other youth counselors and crew members to plan and execute ship-wide events and activities- Maintain accurate records of youth participation and behavior, and report any concerns to the Youth Program Manager- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols, as well as company policies and procedures- Attend mandatory training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and best practices- Assist with the organization and setup of youth program areas and supplies- Act as a role model for youth, promoting positive values and behavior at all times- Maintain a clean and organized youth program area, following all sanitation and hygiene guidelinesQualifications:- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, education, or a related field- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth, preferably in a camp, school, or recreational setting- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with youth and their families- Strong organizational and time-management skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed- CPR and First Aid certification preferred- Must pass a background check and drug test
